When I first started out using computers and photoshop and Illustrator, I much preferred photoshop as it made more sense to me. I could manipulate photos with ease and really liked the organic way that it worked. I then started looking at ways to integrate scanned brush strokes and watercolors with photoshop to make artwork that looked less digital and more painterly. I still have a long way to go on that end, but finally I found myself in the world of Illustrator and have really learned how to use this program to great advantage when it comes to cartoons and images that need to convey a straight forward simple concept. Recently I've been really inspired by many of the Digital painters out there. Spending a lot of time perusing their sites and just getting juiced at the images they seem to just make appear out of nothing. Old Sketchbook

0 min read
I just came across an old sketchbook I made and kept in 1996, while I was living in the mountains of mexico in a beautiful historic town called San Miguel de Allende. Over the years, it has become more and more "touristy", but it still retains old mexico. All of the buildings are made the way they used to be with clay and mortar and bright colors. the streets are made of small rocks and boulders and you can still watch old men walk donkeys carrying bundles of sticks down the center of town. It has 2 art colleges there and is filled with musicians and galleries at every corner. Before it turns into another Cancun, I'd advise anyone interested

Man, your art is so epic.
Well spotted dude, you been to Prague? :)
Yep. My wife is Czech and lives in a town called Sumperk.
You can see a video I did of one of our trips to prague here:

In the video you can also see your exact spot in the museum with a choir of girls singing.

I know the place well!

;-)
Martin lysák told me about your profile so i'll :+devwatch: :-) Im from šumperk ...
Hey Great! Martin is a cool guy. I'll be visiting Sumperk this Christmas with his cousin. I'm hoping he'll take us snowboarding while we're there! Maybe we'll get to meet!
Thanks for the :+fav:!
